Checkered .. The statement Coat

After so many years of searching for the perfect checkered coat, I finally found the one. First, let me fill you in on a lil secret, I am a coat collector, I believe in the super powers of a great fitting  statement coat to take even the most basic outfit to the next level, yes.. back to our coat of the day,  it is a steal  from Forever 21 and you would never believe it cost $29 plus shipping on sale. The gods must have been on my side on this one lol..Well it is my wish to own a perfect coat in almost every neutral shade, I found the perfect camel and the perfect checkered, now on to the perfect grey, black and white, then I’m good. Ladies the one thing I found that never goes out of style is a well fitted  oversized coat, It elevates almost every outfit in your wardrobe and gives you that chic look without you even trying. I say its a must in every closet, from the fashionistas to the  girl next door who just wants to look effortlessly chic and timeless.

Some days I can’t find what to wear even with a closet full of clothes, its hard to put an outfit together, well today was one of those days, I decided to play it up with the basics. A white tee, fitted boyfriends jeans and black pumps. Without the statement coat, this would be a rather basic outfit, but adding the coat took things to a whole new level. The compliments  I got from passerby’s  yesterday was overwhelming, its amazing what a simple coat can do.
