Hello gorgeous ladies, I will be blogging today about tips to keep your skin looking healthy and youthful as much as possible.. We all know beauty starts from inside, meaning what we put into our bodies (healthy eating), exercising and having a good heart… well I will blog about 4 -step beauty regimen that could give you that flawless looking skin…
Cleansing.
The key here is to find a good cleanser, preferably a very gentle type for colored skin. You can find a good cleanser at the drug store or if you have a few hundreds to spend Clinique is a good choice, gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin. Cleansing your face twice a day is a step closer to clearer, healthier skin, choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin and a clear cleanser for oily skin. Please Ladies never go to bed with makeup ,that shit ruins the skin.
Exfoliate.
Exfoliating is one of the most important steps in my beauty regimen, but talking to my friends made me realize that a lot of women neglect this step in their weekly routine. Exfoliating the skin at least once a week is very beneficial..I mean you would see results almost immediately,as the dead skin is washed away to reveal glowing new skin. You can exfoliate the skin with Microdermabrasion, retinoids and chemical peels.. My scrub of choice is St Ives Apricot scrub, its inexpensive and does the job beautifully…
Moisturize.
Ladies, a basic beauty rule is that if you have dry skin ,you should invest in a good moisturiser, so how much should you moisture? your skin will tell you, when your skin is tight and dry,its crying for some moisture, but be careful not to over moisturize as it can clog pores and cause breakout. For those with oily skin, they should use moisturizers for their skin type…Some people say oily skin doesnt need moisture, trust me ladies, all skin types need moisture in varying degrees..
Apply Sunscreen.
Ladies, this for sure is my favorite step of the whole bunch and the one that is often neglected by many sisters. The # 1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so its extremely important to use a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 from your very early years even on cloudy days or winter months..Your skin will thank you in the future. A good trick is purchase a moisturizer with SPF 30 or above that you use during the day and use a different moisturizer without SPF when you sleep at night. There is a myth that black women don’t need sunscreen, trust me ladies We Need It for beauty and to fight off cancer as well…
Ladies, I hope this helps some of you out there with your various skin issues.. I try to follow these steps for a beautiful skin, and I can testify that it helps, Im not going to stand here and say I do not have any skin issues cause I do,but at least Im working my way to beautiful skin with this beauty routine.. Bonus pic of me and my skin below…
